Dr. William (“Bill”) Grossman, M.D., Ph.D. brings over four decades of experience in clinical medicine, medical affairs, and therapeutic development.

Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of Oncology Clinical Research at Gilead Sciences, where he oversaw the Gilead–Arcus alliance for co-development and co-commercialization of cancer immunotherapies.

Prior to Gilead, he was Chief Medical Officer at Arcus Biosciences, directing global clinical development strategy and operations across a broad immuno-oncology pipeline. Before that, he was Chief Medical Officer at Bellicum Pharmaceuticals and Global Group Medical Director for Cancer Immunotherapy at Genentech, where he led development of TECENTRIQ® in gastrointestinal cancers and advanced immunotherapy combination strategies across solid tumors.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Grossman led oncology franchise medical affairs at AbbVie and held senior R&D, clinical, and medical affairs positions at Biothera, Baxter, and Merck & Co.

He earned his M.D. and Ph.D. in Immunology from Washington University School of Medicine through the Medical Scientist Training Program and completed medical training in pediatric biology and medicine at Washington University.

Dr. Grossman currently serves as a clinical and strategic advisor to biotechnology companies developing next-generation cancer immunotherapies.
